Nighthorse Farm offers full-service training in Elk Grove, California. A leading equestrian training facility since 1978, Nighthorse caters to the each client’s individual goals, from lessons to the show arena. Coaching riders from the pony ring to the grand prix field, our comprehensive program brings out the best in each rider, and we enjoy the process.
Debbie Stone, Head Trainer
Debbie Stone has headed up the training operation at Nighthorse Farm for 12 years. Under her expert guidance, Nighthorse Farm provides top-notch care and scrupulous training that together result in success: Debbie’s clients consistently win show championships in hunters, jumpers and equitation.
Debbie’s training philosophy reflects her passionate love of horses and dedication to the sport. She works closely with her clients to set goals and achieve the results they desire, always encouraging teamwork between each horse and rider. Debbie is regarded as much for her riders’ frequent ribbon-winning as she is for her ever-present smile.
Linda Stone, Founder
Linda Stone serves as the Nighthorse Farm barn manager. Her extraordinary attention to detail accounts for our meticulously organized barn, an operation that runs smoothly day after day.
Linda lives and breathes horses – she can usually be found on the back of one, that is, if she is not working in a stall or the feed room!
Haley Stone, Assistant Trainer
Haley became passionately involved with horses at a young age and continues as an adult to dedicate her life to the competitive world of the equestrian sport. She has had the honor of working with many masters in the industry in both the west coast and Europe.
Haley was a member of the Zone 10 team and competed nationally at the North American Young Riders Championships and the Junior Jumper Championship, selected for the Prix De States Team, also is apart of the USEF 1.40 meter club, won the Pickwick Medal Finals, second in the Hudson and Company, second in the Horse and Hound, third in the Northern California Medal Finals, top 4 in the Pacific Coast Horse Shows Association medal finals, and top 8 in the Onodarka Medal Finals.
Her professional career has been dedicated to focusing on developing horses and riders into a winning combinations. She believes her strengths lay within her relationships with her student and their horses. She loves to watch her students continue to grow and improve on their goals. Haley identifies short and long term goals with her students for them to keep striving to better themselves not only as a rider but a horsewoman/man. These goals are met by developing a long relationship with her students by guiding them with trust, confidence, and encouragement.
Haley is a proud member of the United States Equestrian Federation, the United States Hunter Jumper Association, the Pacific Coast Horse Show Association, the California Professional Horse Shows Association, the USET, the Northern California Hunter Jumper Association, and Sacramento Area Hunter Jumper Association.
Albert Guevara, Head Groom
Albert Guevara dedicates himself to ensuring the safety of both his horses and riders. As head groom, Albert manages turnouts, lunging, body clipping, feeding, and stall checks on a regular basis.
